The $1,000 Bear

Poor Zachary. He just can't seem to catch a break. Last night, he woke up screaming and I just couldn't calm him down. After an hour, we ended up in the ER. Zachary had ANOTHER terrible

ear infection. The staff was so nice to Zachary and were great with little kiddos.

We walked out with a calmer baby, a lasting memory, and a gift that just may appear on our bill.

Thanksgiving (Man, Did We Need a Serious) Break

Thanksgiving 2011: The Break We Needed.

Thanksgiving this year couldn't come any sooner. Zachary was sick and needed a break from school. And we needed a break from work!

We started the day in Greeley with Zachary's Great-Grandparents. Z loved sampling all of the cooking and sat in the same highchair his Grandma Sawyer was raised in. How fun is that?

After Greeley, we headed to Highlands Ranch for round two. As you can see, Zachary was pretty tuckered out and posed for his favorite photo with Carter. If you haven't noticed, Zachary is usually melting down while Carter sits patiently each year. Sign of the future?

Has anyone seen the baby?

Beautiful day in the upper 60's!

Poor Z.....

It's been a rough few days.

I went to spend Friday at Z's school for their Thanksgiving celebration. When I walked in the daycare, I heard him screaming.

He had the flu. I'm talking about the following symptoms all at once:

  • Runny nose

  • Cough

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • 100 degree temp

  • And Teething to boot!

He's been a wreck! This Holiday can't come any sooner....

The Waiting Game

I took Zachary to the Doctors yesterday to check his ears. Apparently we weren't the only ones missing the Broncos game. The office was PACKED, so we had to wait an hour. This is what it takes to keep a 1yr old busy in a waiting room.

He shredded 10 magazines, ate 100 goldfish crackers, and crawled up and down the hallway four times.

The good news is that he's clear (for now) on his ears. Hope it stays that way for awhile!

Zachary is a Big Boy

Zachary sure does love his independence. He won't let me feed him, he wants to do it by himself.

Here are photos sent from daycare. It was beans and cornbread day at school. Note: his bib is almost spotless.....

The After photo. I think he had a good lunch

Mealtime Messies

Zachary likes to try lots of foods, but he'll only try them on his own. Here are a few photos of one of this favorite foods- pasta.

And his brother is always nearby for anything that falls.

Z and Dad

Zachary loves his Dad. No one in the world makes Zachary laugh more.

We took our Christmas family photos today and the only smiles that came from this sleepy little guy was for his Dad.
