"Checking your label. Just as I thought! Maaaade in heaven... "

My baby loves a good party. He's just like his mom and dad.

During the day, Elvis sits patiently while I work. Perfect manners. And then......come 9 pm......he gets ready to rock. Day turns into night and night turns into the Night at the Roxbury!
There's a party in my belly and Elvis is on the VIP list.
Mark my words. We're gonna have our hands full.

This Bud's For You Lynn,

I am a lucky girl.

I got to have the best lunch EVER with Lisa and Cara. Cara is in town this weekend to visit with her family from England and she was able to escape to have lunch. These girls are incredible and I'm so fortunate to have them in my lives.

Lisa was a champ and listened to all of the 'belly laughs' and Cara cracked me up with all of her stories. Cara has wild cravings and it's so fun to listen to them and laugh about the experience.

So here you go Lynnard, the photo you were waiting for:

Poor Lisa is getting squashed by bellies!

For those of you that know me well, I try to wear heels at work everyday. It's getting a bit harder, but I'm not ready to give up my heels just yet. BUT in this photo, I should've taken off my heels so I didn't look like a giant blueberry.

Party On Elvis

I went to Colin's soccer game last night. It was ridiculously cute. Here are a few highlights:

  • Sean asked Kristy why Colin needed to wear 'leg warmers' to practice. (no joke)

  • Dylan watched on the sidelines and was itching to be a fill-in for the black team

  • Four year olds don't play soccer with positions, they ALL chase after the ball

  • Four year olds don't understand out of bounds. When the ball goes out of the playing area, they still chase it and the game seems to just move to a different field.

  • The night was very positive and Colin did a great job learning lessons and meeting new friends.

I've also attached a photo of me and Elvis in our 21st week. I think Elvis is a lot like me, he sleeps a lot, so I don't feel much during the day, but then he likes to party all night, so I haven't been getting much sleep. He's certainly reminding me what college feels like with being busy during the day and staying up all night.

I have felt like a new woman over the past few weeks. I've had more energy, have been able to exercise and have had fun meeting with friends. As cheesy as this may sound, I feel lucky and blessed to have the people that I do in my life and be able to have a little party animal in my belly. Life is good.

Namaste Little Elvis

Elvis and I went to prenatal yoga this weekend. We loved it! There were other mothers in class delivering at Rose, so maybe we will make some new friends. There was lots of stretching and we learned some new moves to help with the delivery.
I love going to yoga and hope Elvis will want to go with me when he's older. I think he really liked the music, so hopefully it will help calm him and remind him to be nice to his mom.

Happy Father's Day to Kyle

Happy Father's Day to Kyle.

I'm so excited for Kyle to be a Dad to our little boy. One of the things I liked best about Kyle when we first started dating, was how great he was with kids. Kyle was older when his little brother Adam was born, so he has always had a little boy in his life. He's also a great uncle to his nephews, taking them fishing, to the park, playing soccer, and always having snacks at our house for them just in case they stop by.

I think Kyle will be a great Dad and I'm excited for him to have a buddy in his son.

Cheers to you and your new buddy Elvis, Kyle. We love you lots,

Oh, Elvis. That's really cute.

This feels really silly.....in fact, it kind of tickles, but I think my baby has hiccups. Poor little dude.

Elvis is part of the Dragon Club.

Rain, rain, go away.

This past weekend was wet, wet, wet! We made the best of it by spending time with the little boys and Kyle started on the nursery. Thank goodness we know what little boys like, so there will certainly be plenty of blue in the room. It's been really fun shopping for the room, but the girls seem to have 10 times the options of boys! Most stores will have several floral prints, and our little Elvis was stuck with sports or sailboats. I'm still looking for the perfect match, but you'll have to wait to see the final product in a few more weeks.
Moving the Office. (The Before Shot)

In between paint coats, the little guys came over to play at our house. Colin brought over a few temporary tattoos with dragons. The size was pretty large, much too large for a four year old's arm, so the most surface area we could find was on his belly. He was so delighted to lift up his shirt and show his little brother his fire-eating dragon. After we tattooed Dylan and Kyle, there was just one left. Time slowed down and all THREE boys (Colin, Dylan, and Kyle) looked to the girl with the BIGGEST belly area for the last dragon. It wasn't long before Elvis had a purple fire breathing dragon on him. Elvis is already fitting right in with his cousins.

FIRE BREATHING DRAGON BELLY CLUB!!!!
There are SO many things that make me smile when I see this photo! I'm not sure if I like Colin screaming in his underware best, or Kimbo looking annoyed that we did this instead of taking him for a walk......Guess it's just another day at the Tormoehlen house.

Baby Mega Store Memory

Kyle and I were riding on cloud 9 after our appointment on Monday. Not only did we get to find out the gender of Elvis, but we received a perfect bill of health for mom and baby. This was a huge accomplishment for the family! I've been feeling increasingly better with the new thyroid dosage, making it easier to handle the constant tiredness.

To celebrate our week, Kyle and I decided to buy Elvis something, so we went to the mega baby store- Babies 'R Us. In the past (just even in the past few months), I would bravely venture in to purchase gifts for my mother-to-be girlfriends and get completely overwhelmed. I would even try to purchase gifts online and pay to have them delivered to my house just so that I wouldn't have to venture in the dreaded double doors. The people at Babies 'R Us are pretty smart. They usually have one or two employees right at the door to see the expressions walking in and jump in to help. They sure nailed my expressions, as I couldn't get two steps in before cringing. They have photos of other people's babies all over the walls and I would feel like I might walk out with a kid one day, much like the phrase "Don't Drink the Office Water".

After a few trips, I became more comfortable, so I thought it was time to let Kyle dip his toe in to the mega store this week to purchase our little boy a gift. The minute we walked in, the greeters as well as 10 super pregnant mothers smiled at Kyle's face. He made his first two steps in, took his sunglasses off, and let out a low and deep, "Whhhhhhooooooaaaaa". I smiled back at him, gave him a look of confidence, and we entered the baby mega store together as a family.

You can buy everything from baby soap to a full nursery set at this store. We were overwhelmed and settled on a pair of kicks for Elvis. They are a pair of Vans with skulls. After an hour of paroosing, we confidently made our purchase and walked out with a memory and a pair of size two sneakers. I'm sure we'll be back, but the first trip was certainly a memory I won't soon forget.
Kyle bought Elvis an Elmo Cupcake for his birthday this week. It was pretty incredible with no lack of frosting.

Time To Paint the Nursery!

We got back from our Doctor Appointment today and.............................it's a BOY!!!! He certainly wasn't shy to prove it. Kyle is over the moon to have a fishing buddy and I'm excited for my nephews hand-me-downs!

Kyle is already anxious to paint this weekend.

Let the shopping begin..........

Colin's 4th Birthday Bash

Last night was Colin's 4th Birthday party. Kristy rented a super fun kiddo place with jumpy castles and Colin's buddies, big and small, came to celebrate. Kyle and I got him a bug gun vacuum to that he could catch bugs and release them in my sisters house.

Good luck with that, Mom!!

We've had lots to celebrate this past week. We had a great trip to Florida, celebrated Colin's birthday, and get to find out if Elvis is a boy or a girl tomorrow morning. I'm almost 19 weeks and counting.

I think it will be fun to know the gender. We can pick out names (it will NOT be Elvis), work on the nursery, and start to check out fun gifts. We'll update everyone as soon as our appointment is over!!

Mom and Daughters. We were stickered with Scooby Doo

Ahhhhh Florida

Kyle and I traveled to Florida this past week and spent time on Ana Maria Island with the Tormoehlen Family. We had a great time and are starting the process of cleaning up sand at our house- it's everywhere! It was obvious we are from Colorado, as we got so excited just to see water. Being landlocked in Colorado can be tough on Kyle, so needless to say, there was plenty of fishing on the trip.

It was super windy when we left-Elvis getting a tan

We wanted Elvis to see he/she made it to the beach.....and almost blew awayProm photo
