It's your mom here and I just wanted to write you a few words before we meet.
There are just a few more days and moments we have together like this and I wanted to share some thoughts during this precious time together.
It has been so much fun having you with me these past few months. It was fun having your company during big executive meetings, trips to the beach, walks with Kimbo, and celebrations with family. You've been a good friend to tag along with my busy schedule.
Your Dad and I are so excited and anxious for your arrival. We've been working hard to prepare for you to come home and although we probably don't have everything we need, I promise we'll make up the difference with hugs and love. You are certainly coming to a home filled with love and there's a lot saved up for you.
Your Dad is so excited to spend time with you doing things he did as a kid and teaching you about sports and important life lessons. He went to all of your Doctor's appointments, anxious to hear about your growth and health and took great care of us. I know you already recognize his voice, so I'll be excited for you to meet. He's had a lot of practice being an Uncle to your cousins and they too are so excited to play with you. They even made you a special Halloween present at school this week!
It's wild to think about what you'll look like and how big you'll be. Your Dad and I had many dreams about you, so it will be special for some of those to come true. No matter if you're big or small, you'll be just perfect to us.
We have many fun stories to share with you and hopes for your future. Some say your birthday will be the beginning of a new life, but you've already been a big part of our lives and I'm excited for our future together as a family.
I hope you're as excited to meet us as we are for you. We'll love you unconditionally, even with the super stinky diapers and sleepless nights to come.
We love you Zachary and just can't wait to show you how much you already mean to us.
Love,
Your Mom

Exciting News
What an exciting day! I have fun news to share!
My BFF in the Universe had her baby yesterday. Austin Stewart Hoherd was born around 5:30 pm MST and clocked in at 8 lbs 15 oz. I always knew Cara would deliver first, so when I got the text message she was at the hospital, it really started to sink in that I was next! I was so anxious to hear of her baby's arrival, that I walked around with my phone all day......even took it in the bathroom so I wouldn't miss the call. I haven't seen photos, but I 'm sure he's a cutie! I can't wait to meet him this Christmas! Congratulations to the Hoherd family!!! I wish I was in CA with you.
On the Elvis front, we had an appointment this morning. He's wiggled down more and we're anxiously waiting for any sign that he's ready. Our Doctor said it could happen any day now, but if I make it to next Thursday, they will schedule an induction. Come on baby!
Although many think Kyle and I are crazy, we still think it would be cool to have a Halloween baby, but then Kristy thinks it would be fun if he came on Monday so that his first birthday will be on 11/1/11. That's pretty cool too.
Either way, it's starting to sink in. This kid will make his arrival soon!
Forgot the '1' sign, but we're days from being due!

Tick Tock.....
I'm still pregnant! I'm everything every woman said I would be. I'm totally uncomfortable, grouchy, forgetful, anxious, scared, excited, and overwhelmed thinking about our baby coming soon!
Kyle is getting very excited to meet his little guy. Every night he reminds me that we'll get our baby soon and that I just need to hang in there. Last night he was even doing rounds of heating pads for me. What a guy.
Kyle and I have also decided this will be my last week of work. It's been very challenging to be focused and do a great job, so it will work out very clean to stop working on November 1. I told my Director my plan today and she smiled and said, "Sounds great Kairee. We'll see if you even make it to November 1." The countdown is on!
This weekend was pretty busy with Carter's baptism. Kyle's family flew in from St Louis, so we spent the weekend enjoying time with them. Grandpa Tormoehlen helped during the baptism, which was very cool and Kyle felt very special to be her Godfather. Congrats to Eric, Alicia, and little Carter.
We're getting excited. Can you tell?

The Barlows
What a fun afternoon! I got to have lunch with my Aunt Lu and Cousin Amanda from Loveland. They decided to spend a nice afternoon in Denver and wanted to meet at my FAVORITE restaurant, Watercourse.

The Barlows are pretty special people. They have included Kyle and I into their many family activities from house parties to camping. They truly are the best kind of family a girl could ask for.
Fun story. They get Kyle and I tickets to the CSU vs Wyoming game every year and last year, Kyle and Amanda made a friendly wager on the game. CSU and Kyle lost in the end and the bet was the loser had to show up to Thanksgiving this year dressed as a Pilgrim. Kyle has to be the loser and dress up for the big family gathering this year. Photos will follow.
Here are some fun photos from the day of the infamous bet:

We dinned over the best vegetarian cuisine in Denver with no shortage of laughs and smiles. These two made my day and it was the best cure for a grumpy pregnant woman.
Thanks again for sharing your day! See you again soon!

I'm Nine Months Pregnant. I'm Up and Dressed, What More Do You Want?
uuugh. I've got about two weeks to go and it 'aint easy. The kid keeps me up with dance parties every night until midnight and when I wake up, I'm grouchy, tired and hate the three options I have to wear.
Kyle said I've been showing a lot of similarities to an old friend- (minus the trash can and furry eyebrows)

Three Weeks to Go!
The Tormoehlen's have been quite busy this week. Starting on Saturday, Kyle decided to buy a new flat screen TV. It's large and in charge of our living room and he's in heaven. Thankfully, Dave came over to help hang it and we've been adjusting to watching Matt and Meredith in life size in the mornings.
Sunday was a super special day, as it was Grandma Rady's 87th birthday on 10-10-10. All she wanted was lunch with her family and lotto tickets. She got both and it was a great reason to celebrate. The little boys got lots of cake and saw lots of cows on their way to Greeley.
On the baby watch, Kyle and I had a few appointments this week. We had an ultrasound yesterday, and I found out I wasn't going to get the rolly polly baby I was hoping for. Elvis will be little, but still in the healthy range when he's born. We're anticipating a 6 1/2 pound baby on this birthday. I guess the best news about getting a little baby is that I get to deliver a little baby. Mom and Kristy are starting to get excited and it's fun to call them after every appointment to keep them posted. I'm beyond thankful I have them to talk to everyday to help ease the anxiety, stress, and worry that comes with being this close to labor/babies/crying/lack of sleep.
Only three weeks to go! Think we're prepared? Think again!

The In's and Out's Of Nine Months
Here are photos of week minus four. It's getting darker earlier at night, so out photos aren't turning out as well. You get the picture though- I'm getting bigger and feeling more uncomfortable.
We may be getting near the end of the pregnancy and it comes with mixed emotions. I've had a mild pregnancy, but there are certainly things I'm ready to leave behind. Here are the In's and Out's of my past nine months:

The 'Out's, or things I'm Over:
- Maternity Clothes. I want to wear my old jeans again.
- Having to think about how I'm going to get up every time I lay or sit down.
- Having to wear the same pair of old crappy shoes everyday since they're the only ones that fit.
- Stress at work. It's hard to think about all of the things I need to do before I leave.
- Not enjoying a tall beverage with Kyle and friends. Don't get me wrong, I don't need a drink every day, but it sure helps with the point listed above (note: Stress at work)
- Baby hiccupps. So cute when it first happens and then he gets bigger and they shake my whole belly for 20 minutes.
- Lack of energy. I litterally get tired doing a load of laundry now.
- Massive heartburn.
- Headaches and random forgettfulness.
- Questioning the sturcture and build of whatever I sit on before I sit on it.
The 'In's', or things I'll Miss:
- Random people being nice to me or holding the door for me.
- My mom calling right after each Dr apt to check on her grankid.
- Sweet little Dylan and Colin pointing to my belly and asking about the baby.
- A good excuse to get a pedicure every two weeks.
- Kyle getting to come to appointments with me. It's just a fun reason to see him more often in the day.
- Eating cupcakes and not feeling guilty.
- Choosing cheese AND mayo on my sandwiches and not feeling guilty about it.
- Calling Cara and laughing about what's happening to our bodies.
- Watching Kyle in the baby section of Target. He loves to pick up little goodies for his new pal. I'm sure this won't change once the baby comes, but it's pretty cute to see it in person and watch him get so excited.
I had my 36 week appointment this past Wednesday and the Dr said the process is starting. It could be a few more weeks, or it could be any week soon. We're just excited to meet our new little man soon.

Nine Months!
It's hard to believe, but we're at nine months today. Kyle will take a photo for me tonight, but just picture this: I'm huge.
The leaves are falling and Halloween is around the corner. Kyle and I LOVE getting dressed up for the Holiday and so does our little man Colin. For the past month, he has collected catalogues of Halloween costumes and often looks at them for ideas. He would even ask Kristy to jump online so that he could check out the latest updates. So, last night was the big night. Kristy took him to the costume store and Colin picked out his dream costume. Sean sent me this photo last night. Colin looks so excited that I bet he tried to sleep in it.
More photos to come, but hope you enjoy this as much as I did last night. May the Force Be With You little dude.
