Dear Third Trimester,

It's nice to meet you. Our names are Kairee and Elvis, and we come in peace. We saw our Dr yesterday and he told us that we're in your world now.

We've heard some rumors about you, that you're uncomfortable, can cause something called kanckles, and can cause babies to be stubborn towards the end of our time together. I'm hoping we can just all get along.

We were sent from our pals, First and Second Trimesters and they were pretty nice to us. They too, casued some tiredness and a few aches, but overall, they were pretty mild and nice.

Our Dr. told us we're heading in to our last haul strong. Elvis had a heartbeat of 150 and I measured 25 and 1/2 centimeters on the belly. He also mentioned that he noticed Elvis kicking and squirming when he was tryting to measure. Little Elvis often reminds me he's around with a few flips and plenty of kicks and apparently wanted to say hello to the Doc yesterday.

So, here we go last Trimester. I hope this can be an agreeable time together. Please be nice to us.

GOOOOO BRONCOS!!!!

My job is pretty stressful sometimes. It's never easy and always tough, but sometimes there are great perks along the way.



Last night, I helped to host a dinner for listeners, hosted by Robert Mondavi and TWO Bronco players stopped by, Kyle Orton and Ryan Harris! Of course, I totally tried to play it cool when they walked in, but secretly I was overly excited to see athletes from our beloved Broncos team and I was so excited for our little Elvis to meet them as well.


The moment arrived and I snagged a photo. I hope you get a chuckle out of this photo as much as I did. I actually don't have a double chin, I was just trying to hide the fact that I almost peed my pants. I was WAAY too pregnant and WAAAYYY to excited.

Nonetheless, it was a great story to share with our little guy when he's older.

Year Two

Today is my second wedding anniversary. This is a very special day.

This may sound cheesy, but I think Kyle and I were meant to be together. We compliment each other in every way. I even told Kyle this morning that I know he's made me a better person.

Kyle's grandpa married us and before the wedding, he asked me to tell him why I wanted to marry Kyle. He just asked for a few simple reasons for the ceremony. I gave him 14. I told him that I loved Kyle for the things he taught me and that I was looking forward to learning and growing with him, but I also loved him for the little things too.

For giggles, here are a few that I sent him:
- I love listening to Kyle sing all the wrong lyrics to his favorite songs
- I love making Kyle cakes and watching him eat it for breakfast because he thinks it's so good.
- I love Kyle for learning to cook vegetarian and making sure there are always veggie burgers at summer BBQ's
- I love it when Kyle does all the math for me.....but I'm still a better speller.
- I love watching Kyle compete with the kids for the biggest plash off the diving board.
- I love watching Kyle play with my nephews.
- I love playing golf with Kyle......but only on the short holes.

I love thinking about our future together, as all of these little moment will create a lifetime memories with my best friend and husband, Kyle.

Introducing Miss Mckenna Jane

This past weekend, Lisa and I went to Mckenna Jane Kummer's Baptism. Miss Mckenna was born in April to my friends from CSU, Shannon and Jeff. I lived with Shannon for three years in college and Jeff went to Regis with Kyle, so needless to say, this family is very special to us.

The Baptism was very cool to watch. She had a lot of attention since she's so cute. She seemed to enjoy the light dunking and made a lot of friends afterwards with her big smiles and love for life.

I fell in love with Mckenna Jane this weekend and I've already made plans to squeeze her again this weekend in Fort Collins.

And if you're curious about the last photo- I couldn't resist taking a photo of the cupcake Kyle bought me this weekend for Elvis. Believe it when I tell you the entire clown is frosting.

I like my life and hope to get more days eating ridiculous cupcakes and squeezing more of my friend's babies. Life is good.

Bend it Like Beckham

I found this photo of Beckham and imagine little Elvis might be in a similar position, just stretching and waiting for the big game around 9pm in my belly.

This kid can kick! I think he's getting excited with all of the buzz about soccer. Between World Cup and his cousins practicing, Elvis is a strong kicker! Kyle and I watched my belly shake for 20 minutes last night with all of the strong kicks. I wish you could have seen his face to watch his son be so strong.

Seriously. It's really hot outside and me and Elvis are melting.

Kyle's Labor Speedway

We took the tour of Rose last night. It was a bit of a bummer because we learned the nursery was under construction and it won't be completed until December of this year. For now, they've converted a few rooms, so the nursery is behind security doors. So, two bummers:

1. Elvis won't get to experience the 'all new' nursery when he's born

2. We won't get to show him off in the window and prove he's the cutest newborn in the room.

During the tour, Kyle was taking great notes on where to park and where to wheel me in. The day I go to the Hospital will be a big day for Kyle and I think he secretly has a desire for an excuse to speed down the road.

Elvis is 24 weeks today. I'm working on something for him everyday now.

A few updates:
- We're touring the maternity ward at Rose after work tonight. Hopefully Elvis likes the nursery.
- We're working with a friend on booking our first family photo shoot. With the timing of his arrival, we're going to be sending out Merry (Christmas) Announcements this year.
- We booked a 3D Ultra Sound appointment in September, just before my birthday. It will be fun to check him out just over a month before he's born.
- Lisa has been working very hard on my baby shower in September. It will be so great to catch up with family and friends. It's such a great feeling to have Lisa, Mom, and Kristy help out to make the day really special and memorable.
- We have our daycare tour set for next month.
- Kyle noticed my Linea Nigra this morning- before I did! This is the line that starts to show on your belly under your belly button. It was pretty wild to see it starting to show.
- I'm thankful for AC. This incubating process is hot enough, before 100 degree heat and a husky sitting on my lap all night. Poor Kyle has had to blast the AC and give Kimbo and I two fans at night.

We're also excited to see all of our friends next week at Mike Witty's reception in Ft Fun. We haven't seen all of our friends at once for awhile, so it will be great to catch up.......and be the sober driver all night.

My Family is SUPER Cute.

We celebrated Sean's birthday last night with a soccer game, (the black team won......I think), Mom came up to cheer Colin on and then Kyle and I went to celebrate with Sean at Shanahan's Seakhouse.

Here are some fun, but overdue photos from the past few weeks. Some are from Dylan's 2nd Birthday and some are from soccer and Sean's birthday. Just enjoy how cute my family is.

We're at 23 weeks today! We've been super busy with family this past weekend, but amazingly enough, I don't have an updated photo for you. I had my camera with me on Sunday, ready for the cutest 4th of July pic, but then I felt hot and far from cute, so we skipped documenting that experience.

Kyle's grandparents as well as his Aunt and Cousin are in town from St Louis. They even got to see the Cardinals play the Rockies last night. They stayed up really late just to see the Rockies win in the last inning. Either way, I'm sure our child will own a few Cardinals shirts growing up.



We're currently playing the name game quite often. It's a pretty big deal to give your kid a name- especially a little boy! Little girls take many of the boy names, so I want to make sure there aren't any girls in his class with the same name. We want a traditional and classic name that clearly says "I'm a boy". The great debate goes on.

Another frustration is decorating the nursery. If you have a baby boy, you're stuck with a lot of boats and sports. As far as the boats, I think it's comical that we live in Colorado (think: landlocked) and the sports are cute, but what if he wants to be an opera singer and hates sports? Many people ask me what the theme is for the nursery to which I have to respond- "boy". Literally, we have lots of blue and that's as far as we've gotten. You'll still have to wait for the final reveal on what boy decor I dug up.

It's a bit crazy to think we're six months into this experience. We've officially signed up for childbirth classes and another class I like to call "How To Keep Your Baby Alive". They talk about CPR and why you shouldn't let your baby play with fire. We'll take all of the suggestions we can handle. We've also checked into daycare for little Elvis. Many places are booked, but Kristy and Sean's daycare gave us a spot in February since we're a family referral. I went through the pricing sheet and to summarize, we'll be poor, but at least he won't be playing with fire while I'm at work.

Investing in Pregnancy

This is the year of babies! Not only is BFF Cara pregnant, but there are pregnant women EVERYWHERE! There are pregnant women at Target, Safeway, and in my neighborhood.

I'm no Cramer, but for those of you who dabble in the stock market, here are a few things I'd invest in:
