I have so many pictures to post from the last few weeks, but Mom and Dad have been SO super busy and Dad's computer crashed, so haven't been able to share photos lately. We'll get it updated soon.
For now, I wanted to take a minute to tell you about your Dad. I want you to know how lucky we are to have him in our lives. He's a great dad and a great friend for your mom.
It's not easy being full-time working parents and using daycare. Zachary, you were so sick your first year and we had to take you to school when you weren't feeling your best, but you were always a trooper. Mom and Dad missed quite a few days or we split days to make it work. It's been tough. It's actually really hard to take you to school most mornings, but we cherish every weekend we have with you. Zachary, the move from La Petite wasn't easy on you, but we know you'll grow to enjoy your new school. Dad even gets to take you to school more often, as it's closer to his work. He even brought Kimbo in the car this week to drop you off, which made you smile quite a bit.
Mom and Dad work a lot of hours at work, so the weekends are pretty crazy at our house. Dad perfectly maintains our yard so you have fresh grass to play in, he grocery shops so you have plenty of snacks and treats, he cleans the inside so you have plenty of room to play, he makes sure we have a family dinner on Sunday nights, and he even does countless loads of laundry so that our family looks our best. And with all of these chores, he still makes time to take you to the zoo, the park, the pool, or even hook up the sprinkler in the front for you.
Daddy is also a great friend to your Mom. It's not easy being pregnant in 100 degree weather and chasing Zachary around, so he makes sure I get my breaks when I need it. He makes sure he picks up the craving of the week at the store for me and helps give the best back rubs at the end of a stressful day at work. Your Dad is Mommy's true partner in life. We're a team and couldn't do any of this without each other.
Boys, your Dad is a great person. He works so hard to make sure we have the best of everything. Zachary, the MINUTE you showed interest in T-Ball, you had your own set the next day. He even bought you a brand new bike in Vail last weekend because he saw other kids enjoying them. Daddy gets home late from work every night and still has time to pack your lunch with a love note and hold you while you watch a show together each night. And after your bath, your tired dad plays hide-and-seek with you and it's your favorite part of the day.
I couldn't have picked a better father for my kids and we are so blessed to have you in our lives. We're pretty lucky and I just wanted you to know how much love is in our family.
