Tis the season for babies! When I started to tell people I was pregnant, the first week of November seemed so far away. I often comment, "All of the leaves have to fall before the baby comes" and I'm starting to get anxious when I see the colors changing from green to yellow. It's starting to feel real.
I'm starting to think it's also the season for little boys. I took another baby class on Saturday and all of the eight women in my class were having a little boy. Last year, all of the girls in my office were having little girls, but this year is the season for boys. Kyle and I are so excited to meet our little guy and let him enjoy the fun things like
Spiderman, dinosaurs, pirates, and basic dirtiness. I just couldn't imagine it any other way.
This kiddo in my belly is showing many signs of progress. He loves to steal all of my energy and I'm tired all of the time. I joke with my co-workers that if they need
anything done that requires
brainwork, it needs to be done between the hours of 10a and 3p. Otherwise, although I'm at work, I'm really napping with my eyes open. I think Elvis is taking all of my strength to work on his kicks. I'm not sure if it's possible to be bruised on the inside, but I get full stretches and karate kicks all day long. I also know he's growing just fine, as my maternity pants seem to look like leggings rather than pants......yikes.
This Sunday is my shower for friends and family. It should be a lot of fun to catch up with everyone. And it's really special that Elvis will have TWO
Greatgrandma's in attendance. My Grandma will be driving from Greeley and Kyle's Grandma will be flying in from St Louis. The shower is hosted my my mom, sister, and Lisa. They've been working hard and I'm so thankful for all of their time and work in planning a special day for me.
Kyle has been working hard at his job, so I don't have any portrait shots, but promise it's coming. I just wanted to check in to let you know all is great and to get ready for some fall raking. This baby is just waiting for all of the leaves to fall...
