Just a year ago this week, Zachary was admitted into the hospital for RSV. It was so very scary.
And in this year, we've started his long road to treatment. He has dermatologists, pulmonologists, allergists, and he'll see his new GI doctor in just a few weeks.
It's been a tough year for Zachary, but I just know we're turning a corner with his health.
May this year be his best yet!

The (Nobody's) Sleeping Diaries
So.Tired. So very, very tired.
We've been battling the daycare crud in our house and we're up all night. The boys have passed eye goop, coughs, and lots of snot, so needless to say, I'd do anything for just one night of sleep.
On a typical night, Max wakes 2-3 times, so that's pretty harsh. His doctor said he's not ready to make it through the night, so have to wait on sleep training until May.
Being sleep deprived is wild. You're certainly not your sharpest at work and sometimes I question if I should be driving. The other day, I just happened to glance down and noticed my gas night was blinking. I BARELY made it to a gas station on fumes. I NEVER do that !
Mark my sad words. I bet Max starts to sleep through the night and a week later he'll start teething.
Wishing for just one night!

Zachary rolls around to get himself to sleep and will often end up in the strangest looking positions. This isn't comfortable, is it?

And still has a pacifier. Once Max came, pacifiers had a strong return. So, we got that going on too!

Poor Kimbo. He's no longer allowed upstairs. It looks like he's in jail every night.

Tormoehlen Boys
These boys are getting so fun! It's SO MUCH work, but it's moments like this weekend that seem to make it all worthwhile.
When Max was born, Kyle and I never forced a relationship with him on Zachary. We decided we'd let Zachary decide when he was ready and it seems he's making a turn to get interested in his brother. We'll often catch Zachary hugging Max, sharing toys, and laughing with him.
This Saturday morning, Zachary wanted to read his favorite book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, to Max and I and it was too cute! First, Zachary knows this book backwards and forwards. He'll read it every night and several times on the weekend. He gets every word, every animal and every color perfect!
Zachary talks about being a big brother and being a bog boy and I just know these boys will be so close growing up!
This is what makes all of the sleep exhaustion worth it.
Dear Max,
You're four months old now and changing so quickly! You are growing every day and everyone says you look just like your mom. Nothing makes me happier!
We are plowing through flu season and so close to summer. Over the past few weeks, you've had a lingering cough, an eye infection, severe diaper rash, and your eczema has flared a bit, but you're hanging in there like a champ! I'm hoping you and your brother will have perfect attendance by elementary school!
Nursing is getting tough at work, but my goal is to make it through cold season. We're so close, buddy! I know it will be worth it!
New Updates:
- You LOVE smiling. Smiling is your favorite activity
- Still eating a ton. We are doing rice cereal and you tried baby food apple sauce this weekend. You love the cereal, still thinking about the applesauce
- You are rolling over. It's so fun to watch you get so excited to make it onto your tummy!
- You love to talk and grab things. You are loving to put my fingers in your mouth
- You still love bath time
- You love to watch Mickey with your brother
- You got an A+ at your wellness visit
You are loved more than you'll ever know!
XOXO,
Mom

He's 25 inches (50th percentile)
His head is 42 cm (50th percentile)

A GREAT Visit.
Grandma and Grandpa came over to visit last weekend. It was great to have them spend time with the boys. We joke that Grandma is a baby snatcher, always wanting to hold the baby in the room, so she LOVED holding her great-grandsons. We are so lucky for our kids to have so many loved family members nearby.
Day of Love
Valentine's Day was so much fun this year! Holidays are way more fun with two little boys to celebrate with! The school had a very nice party for the day, filled with pizza, treats, and a Valentine's exchange. Zachary wore a new red shirt and Max wore his "I Love My Mom' shirt. GREAT day!.jpg)
